Daisy Network: Early Menopause Support
When I was first diagnosed, I turned to Daisy Network, a support group specifically for women going through early menopause. It was the first place I found other women with similar experiences, which made me feel less alone. Through their resources and discussions, I started to understand that many of the symptoms I was experiencing—beyond just hot flushes—were menopause-related. Learning from others going through the same thing was invaluable in the early stages.
Newson Health: Medical Guidance That Changed Everything
I came across Newson Health much later in my journey—about three years ago—but I wish I had found them sooner. After years of struggling with symptoms and misinformation, I finally felt heard and understood. They helped me realise the importance of HRT, especially as someone who went through menopause so early. Overcoming my fears around HRT and learning how to manage my symptoms properly was life-changing.
Davina McCall’s Menopausing: Feeling Less Alone
Reading Menopausing was a turning point for me. It was the first time I saw menopause being talked about openly and honestly. Hearing other women’s experiences and struggles made me realise I wasn’t alone, and it reinforced that what I was going through was completely valid. It also made me more passionate about breaking the stigma around menopause and sharing my own experience.
Dr Ben Lynch’s Dirty Genes: Understanding My Body on a Deeper Level
The Dirty Genes book helped me think beyond menopause and into my overall health. It made me more aware of how our genes, diet, and lifestyle all work together. Understanding how small changes—like eating cleaner and reducing toxins—could support my body’s natural processes played a big role in my journey. It was one of the books that led me to focus on toxic-free living and optimising my health in every way possible.
Mindvalley: A Game-Changer for Personal Growth
Mindvalley has been one of the most influential platforms I’ve come across for personal development. I’ve completed multiple courses through their membership, and they’ve played a huge role in keeping my mindset positive and my motivation strong. When you’re navigating a challenging health journey, having the right mindset is just as important as the physical changes you make, and Mindvalley has helped me stay focused, inspired, and open to new ways of thinking.
